Film The Princess and the Matchmaker merupakan film yang bergenre comedi romantis dengan cerita yang klise dan datar. Namun agar tidak terlalu serius, beberapa bumbu komedi pun diracik oleh Hong Chang-pyo yang berada di balik kursi sutradara.
Sinopsis
Setelah bencana kelaparan yang berkepanjangan, istana mengatur pernikahan Putri Songhwa (SHIM Eun-kyung) untuk memperbaiki nasib buruk tersebut. Seorang peramal terkenal, Seo Doyoon (LEE Seung-gi), dibawa untuk menemukan suami yang paling tepat yang memiliki kecocokan perkawinan terbaik dengan sang putri. Dari kandidat dari seluruh penjuru negeri, ada daftar pendek 4 calon suami dengan tanda dan nasib yang berbeda. Namun, sang putri menolak untuk menerima bahwa pasangan hidupnya akan dipilih semata-mata berdasarkan pembacaan keberuntungan, Ia memutuskan untuk bertemu dengan kandidat sebelum keputusan akhir dibuat. Dia mencuri informasi kelahiran kandidat dan menyelinap keluar dari istana, kemudian Doyoon mengetahuinya dan mengikutinya.
